HEY ! Why not try something you may never get the chance to do again in your lifetime !
Unless of course you know someone else who happens to be a helicopter pilot . . .
Experience Rotory Winged Flight along the Shoreline of Florida!
Only $70 for an hour!*
| The Robinson R-22 is a basic two seat helicopter. It also leads in aircraft sales each year. With a Lycoming 0-320 engine with 160 Hp it is a proven safe design. In fact the R-22 is harder to fly than some other turbine powered heli's twice it's size, meaning if one is smooth in the "robbie" you can basically do very well in much larger, more complex helis. The Helicopter has a rotor diameter of 25Ft, 2 inches and spins at a range of 530 to 561 RPM at 100% Nr, this equates to a blade tip speed of 672 feet per second, thats really fast! |

Although it is somewhat tiny, there is no sense of claustrophobia, as I don't fly with the doors on ! (If you think you may have a problem with this, please bring it to my attention, we can put them on for you) The ride is much different than that of a fixed wing aircraft, so please put aside any previous flights you may have made in a small plane. If you have any questions about the helicopter while the preflight and weather briefing is being performed, please don't hesitate to ask! |
| This is a passenger view from the left seat. Heli pilots sit on the right, and we typically fly at a cruise altitude of 500FT, at about 70-80 knots. The helicopter has a top speed of 102Knots indicated. This view is north bound, and you can make out the Commercial Pier just up ahead. Commonly you shall see other aircraft while cruising the shoreline, and if the Goodyear blimp is in the area, you can get pictures you'll never get anywhere else! (see below for a blimp pic)

This is where I used to work (To pay the Flying bills . . .) While I no longer work there, I take great satisfaction that there are two people there who will be there the rest of their natural lives. You know who you are Rob and Michelle. (Dynamicflight visitors please pardon the digression) ... |
| Very nice view, only one that you get from a helicopter. |

This is interesting, where else can you get this close to a blimp ? We would have taken some really good shots if it had departed, but unfortunately not this time. |
